A Trip to the Doctor

While I was blogging last night about our son's high fever, it was only later that I realized that our girl was having fever too. So, my Hubby and I decided to visit our pediatrician today since it must be cause by a virus or bacteria.

So, off we went this morning to the Doctor. Our girl already has a trauma with jabs and doctor's check-up so when we told her that we are going to have her and Lyle checked by the Doctor, she always insisted that she's already well. But then, she remembered the hospitals newly renovated children's clinic with a playhouse and playpen and so she jumped and said, " Okay, I'll go and play in the playpen!" :)

Good thing that there were not many people in the hospital. By the way, we go to Rajyindee Hospital here in Hatyai and we just love their staff and nurses. They are very friendly and we already know most of them. I love their newly renovated children's clinic too. It has bright and cheerful colors and playful designs all around.. with a cartoon channel, playpen and playhouse. Excellent!

Anyways, when we went there Lyle's fever already rose to 39.5 and so the nurses gave him a sponge bath which he really disliked. So, he was screaming his heart out while I have to soothingly talk to him and calm him down. But , it was no avail. When the doctor checked both our kids, she found out that they have the same problem and that is their throat was inflammed. She didn't tell us the name of the sickness since she spoke all in Thai but we just guess it's tonsillitis or the same sickness that I had last week. Anyways, she just gave us some medicine for fever/pain and antibiotics.

Praise God that it was just a normal sickness not dengue or other sickness since we just came from Malaysia where dengue is prevalent. We also thank God for our organization who gives us health insurance or claims for medical bills! Oh, this really helps us a lot. I don't know how many times a year we go to the doctor for check-ups, vaccines and etc. Thank God for his provision.
